Schneider Electric And IDC Share Road Map For Channel Transformation In A Digital-First Economy admin October 07, 2021

The region’s technology channel must step and be digital-first if it’s going to meet the needs of its customers, according to research and trends shared by IDC and Schneider Electric. At an exclusive eventto be held on the 13th October, IDC executives will share with an audience of solution providers and distributors research on how 51% of chief information officers across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa have either accelerated or brought forward digital roadmaps by almost a year, and 14% have brought their plans forward by two years or more. Technology providers have to ensure that they have the digital channels and services in place to meet this demand.

At the event, which is being held in a hybrid format both in-person in Dubai and online for a wider audience across the region, Schneider Electric’s executives will share advice, tips and tools on how today’s technology providers can transform to meet the changing technology environment and become new-age IT providers. They’ll dive into topics such as how to build a more mature, more diverse portfolio, use new engagement models such as social selling, and build new skills.

The event will also host a number of Schneider Electric partners, including global vendors as well as distributors, who will also share inputs on how systems integrators can adapt to what their customers are asking for today.

“This event addresses key competencies for future looking enterprises. As end user organizations rapidly take a digital-first approach to business and leverage advanced technology to achieve critical business outcomes, technology providers need to ramp up their capabilities to address their needs,” said Ranjit Rajan, vice president, research (META) at IDC. “Building a new portfolio that has a significant share of advanced technologies such as Cloud, IoT, AI, Edge computing and others, developing business-outcome-focused conversations with customer executives, strengthening skills in advanced technologies, deepening industry knowhow, and fostering an innovation mindset will be essential competencies that new-age tech providers need to develop to sustain and increase customer wallet share in the digital-first world.”

Ziad Youssef, Vice President Secure Power Middle East and Africa at Schneider Electric, added, “The corporate agendas of organizations across the region are being reshaped by the emergence of contactless customer services, innovative digital business models and revenue streams, ‘born-digital’ players, remote and distributed work practices, and digitized supply chains, among other factors. We are very excited to be able to engage directly with the event’s attendees and discuss how technology partners can create new revenue streams for themselves by leveraging Schneider Electric’s vast portfolio of software and digital services for the edge.”
