Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce holds webinar to tackle Arab-Brazilian diplomacy admin June 22, 2020

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is set to host an online conference titled, ‘Brazil and Arab Countries: Economic Diplomacy’ on Wednesday (June 24, 2020) and will feature both Brazilian and Arab diplomats participating in discussions covering trade, economic cooperation and investment matters.

The webinar will host 20 ambassadors which comprise Brazilian ambassadors to Arab countries and Arab Ambassadors to Brazil to discuss new developments and trends in trade relations and the current challenges within their respective countries. The online conference presents an excellent venue to highlight the positive relations between Brazilian and Arab countries and the role of diplomacy as a means for peaceful cooperation, dialogue, negotiation, cohesion, and harmony. The virtual session will also serve as a strategic platform to facilitate a seamless exchange of information, communication and knowledge between Arab nations and Brazil.

Rubens Hannun, President, Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said, “We are looking forward to this coming webinar, ‘Brazil and Arab Countries: Economic Diplomacy’ an online event that is expected to address Brazilian-Arab diplomacy. The last two decades have seen how trade between these two areas have soared to newer heights. Looking to build on this, we have invited ambassadors from both Brazil and Arab nations, to take part in discussions aimed at providing a strategic overview of how trade and economic relations are evolving with regard to economy and trade–answering questions like what is the outlook and what else can be done in terms of trade and investment.”

The Arab world and Brazil enjoy a strong bond from working together in the past, which is evident in the many agreements and MoU’s signed between them. The strength of economic diplomacy can be further tapped and explored, which can result in the creation of the best possible conditions for trade and economic cooperation among countries.
