ICAI (Dubai) Chapter NPIO, held a session “India – Land of Opportunities” by Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, CA Piyush Goyal and Felicitation & Farewell for H.E Navdeep Suri, Ambassador of India to UAE.

Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, Shri. Piyush Goyal who is also a Chartered Accountant, emphasis the role of CA professionals in Nation building and supporting economic growth. He also recollected his earlier days of CA practical training and explains how it helps him in performing his duties as Minister by keeping values, principles, transparency and ethics. He wished the members to keep on moving and bringing the credibility of CA profession in India and beyond.

The event also witnessed an excellent farewell speech of H.E. Shri. Navdeep Suri, outgoing Ambassador of India to UAE. He spoke about his role in improving Indo-UAE bilateral relationship, especially with present country leaders. It has been joyous moment when the prestigious award, “Order of Zayed II” vested with Hon. Ambassador, H. E Navdeep Suri has been displayed. Dubai Chapter recognized him for his achievements and memento presented to him by the Hon’ble Minister in presence of Consul General, H.E Vipul, President of ICAI, CA Prafulla Chhajed, Chairman, CA Mahmood Bangara and Vice Chairman CA Anish Mehta.

President of ICAI, Prafulla Chhajed was delighted to mention that, 21st World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) will be held at Mumbai on 21st November, 2019 with an expected participation of 12,000 top delegates in Accounting and associated professions worldwide. He sought the support of the minister & Government to make it a grand success. It brought tremendous delight to the audience when it has been mentioned that, CA Prafulla Chhajed has been selected as the Chairman of WCOA, a privilege for ICAI and the nation as a whole.
