DP World Limassolhasimplemented a newZODIAC cloud-based Terminal Operating System (TOS),as part of its efforts to optimise Limassol port\u2019s operations by embracing digitisation and automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ZODIAC TOS offers an integrated platform, providing all supply chain users with real-time information on vessel, yard, gate and rail movements. Other features include advanced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), digital documentation, flexible reporting, smart planning components and web-enabled user interfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly developed operating systemwill boost the efficiency and productivity of the DP World Limassol terminal, while improving customer experience. Many of the administrative duties of terminal staff will now be automated, freeing them up to focus on efficiency, quality, and customer relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Mohamed Rahmah, Head of ZODIAC, said: \u201cWe are now offering the global port and terminal market our complete ZODIAC software solutions portfolio, which encompasses TOS as well as automated gate systems and other terminal management systems for improved cargo and container performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith approximately 34 of DP World\u2019s 80 terminals across the globe now using our TOS, we are aiming for100% ofthe firm\u2019s terminals to be running on ZODIAC software solutions by 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rollout of the innovative solution in Limassol marks another successful ZODIAC implementation to add to the growing number within the DP World group, but also represents the first time ZODIAC has implemented a cloud-based TOS serving mixed cargoes operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
