Dubai\u2019s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will divert three driver licensing services from customers happiness centres to smart and electronic channels as of mid-June 2021. Services to be diverted cover applications for renewing driver license, replacement of lost\/damaged driver license, and the issuance of experience certificate for drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom the middle of June 2021, RTA\u2019s customer happiness centres will cease offering services relating to the renewal of driver license, replacement of lost\/damaged driver license, and the issuance of experience certificates for drivers,\u201d said Sultan Al Marzooqi, Director of Drivers Licensing, Licensing Agency, RTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Explaining the new service channels, Al Marzooqi said, \u201cApplications for renewing driver license service are now provided through the RTA\u2019s Dubai Drive App, website, self-service kiosks and approved eyesight testing centres. The replacement of lost\/damaged driver license service is available at RTA App and website. Applications for drivers\u2019 experience certificates are now open through RTA\u2019s website, Dubai Drive App and self-service kiosks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe digitisation of these licensing services is part of RTA\u2019s drive to migrate to electronic and smart platforms for offering services compatible with the government\u2019s paperless services strategy. These efforts, which are in line with two strategic goals of RTA (Smart Dubai) and (People Happiness), contribute to making Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world.
